Product Attributes
Pick up a pint-size kit of PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant from SkyGeek to stop corrosion in its tracks. The Type II, Class 1, GA Spec corrosion-inhibitive sealant goes on smoothly to form a moisture-resistant barrier that effectively blocks corrosion before it has a chance to start. The MIL-PRF-81733 Type II formula guards against not only moisture, but other common causes of corrosion too, like chemicals and aviation fuels.
The corrosion-blocking sealant has a service temperature range of -65ºF (-54ºC) to 250ºF (121ºC) and can withstand intermittent excursions in temperatures up to 275ºF (135ºF) without failure. The corrosion-blocking compound works on aluminum alloys or between dissimilar metals and once cured, the sealant maintains its elastomeric properties for superior protection. PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 MIL-PRF-81733 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant is a two-part manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound with low sag. Apply the sealant using an extrusion gun or spatula and allow it to fully cure at room temperature for the best results.
