The gray corrosion inhibitive sealant goes on smoothly and forms a physical barrier to guard against the most common causes of corrosion on your aircraft. PPG® Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant is easy to apply and has a service temperature range of -65ºF (-54ºC) to 250ºF (121ºC) with the ability to withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 275ºF (135ºC).
PPG® P/S 870 B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant is flexible and works on a wide variety of aircraft substrates including aluminum alloys and dissimilar metals. Once cured, the sealant maintains its elastomeric properties after exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas, making it the ideal choice for use all over your aircraft. PPG® Industries P/S 870 B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant is sold as a two-part kit to keep each component inactive until mixed. Once the pre-measured parts are blended, the sealant is activated, offering a generous work time before curing occurs. Apply the sealant using an extrusion gun or spatula and then allow it to cure at room temperature for the best results.
