Zip-Chem D-5907NS Multi-purpose Grease is a synthetic diester lubricant that has been corrosion inhibited and heavily fortified to resist oxidation and thickened with Microgel (R). D-5907NS is ideally suited for general aircraft lubrication. It combines a wide useful temperature range of -100 to +300° F. with extremely high moisture resistance. D-5907NS satisfies nearly all grease requirements on aircraft. Can cut grease inventory appreciably. A short fiber grease with a high melting point that makes for exceptionally high mechanical stability. D-5907NS utilizes Aeroshell 7 grease with a new environmentally acceptable non ozone depleting propellant system. The aerosol permits application in hard to reach areas with this advanced multi-purpose grease.
In combination with the snorkel, it not only saves valuable time and labor, but also reduces the expanse of wasting lubricant, with an added plus of always applying a clean uncontaminated grease where needed. In use, the non-toxic, non-flammable propellants vaporize leaving only the lubricant needed. D-5907NS is a non-melt, corrosion inhibited and oxidation resistant material with a high resistance to rubbing and wiping. It resists water and its emulsion action.
Boeing Specification: DPM 326-1 US Military Specification: MIL-PRF-23827C
D-5907NS can be used as a replacement for molybdenum disulfide, in problem areas like the tailing edge flaps. Other applications are: general airframe lubricant, highly loaded gears, actuator screw mechanisms, instrument and all sliding and wiping surfaces with moisture entrapment problems.
D-5907 contains Shell Oil Company's Aeroshell®* Grease 7 **AeroShell is a Shell Oil Co. Registered Trademark.
