Access doors are designed to cover sensitive components on your aircraft, protecting them from moisture, dirt and debris during flight. At the same time, those doors are supposed to be removable, so you can get in to maintain or repair your aircraft as needed. To make sure the access doors have the best seal possible, SkyGeek sells PPG Aerospace® PR-1428 A-1/2 Access Door Sealant. The low-adhesion sealant delivers a reliable hold, but can be removed as needed to grant access to important parts of the aircraft. It has a temperature range from -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), but can withstand excursions up to 275°F (135°C).

PPG Aerospace® PR-1428 A-1/2 Access Door Sealant can do more than just seal access doors. The two-part manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound can also be used for the fabrication of form-in-place gaskets. The uncured material can be applied in thicknesses of up to 25 mils and it cures at room temperature for convenience.
