PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 A-2 Low-Density Fuel Tank Sealant is a Class A sealant that has a service temperature range from -54°C to 121°C ( -65°F to 250°F). The thin formula is designed for brush-sealing fasteners in aircraft fuel tanks, sealing a common point for fuel leaks. Once cured, the sealant maintains excellent elastomeric properties even after prolonged exposure to aircraft fuels like jet fuel and aviation gas. It can also resist limited contact with diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids, offering the flexibility needed to use all over the aircraft. Apply PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 A-2 Low-Density Fuel Tank Sealant in thicknesses up to 25 mils and allow to cure at room temperature.
