PPG Aerospace® PR-2007 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a specific gravity, fast-curing, high-temperature aircraft sealant. When used on your aircraft's fuel tank instead of another type of sealant, you'll realize a 30- percent weight savings per unit volume, allowing you to carry more cargo or more passengers without unbalancing your load. The cured sealant has excellent elastomeric properties and can withstand prolonged exposure to aviation gasoline and jet fuels — it can even withstand diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids. The two-part manganese dioxide-cured liquid polysulfide polymer compound offers low sag when uncured and a thixotropic paste-like consistency that makes it easy to apply to virtually any surface. The sealant cures at room temperature and adheres to most aviation substrates.
