B&B™ PCR-1640 Prepaint Corrosion Remover is a concentrated acidic solution formulated to remove corrosion and heavy surface oxidation from exterior aluminum aircraft surfaces. It does not contain hydrofluoric acid.
B&B™ PCR-1640 produces an aluminum surface with a matte finish and is used prior to conversion coating, painting, anodizing, or welding.
B&B™ PCR-1640 conforms to AMS 1640 Revision C, Corrosion Removing Compound for Aircraft Surfaces which superseded MIL-C-38334.
