Your aircraft needs fuel to fly, and a leaky fuel tank can spell big trouble before or after takeoff. Make sure your aircraft is as protected as possible by ordering PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 C-24 Fuel tank Sealant from SkyGeek. The two-component sealant is designed to be mixed just before use, allowing it to be applied in its most active state. The material is designed for brush and fay sealing of fuel tanks, but can also be used for other aircraft fuselage sealing applications. Once cured, PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 C-24 Fuel tank Sealant maintains excellent elastomeric properties, even after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas.
PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 C-24 Fuel tank Sealant has a service temperature range from -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C), so it's flexible enough to be used in any environment. The two-part manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound goes on smoothly and is a roller-grade liquid, making it easy to apply. Once mixed, the sealant cures at room temperature to form a resilient seal, adhering well to most common aircraft substrates including aluminum and composites.
