Just because the sealant cures quickly doesn't mean it isn't strong - PPG Aerospace® PR-1826 B-1/4 Fuel Tank Sealant offers excellent adhesion to most common aircraft substrates and the resiliency needed to withstand vibrational forces, aviation fuels and temperature fluctuations. The sealant has a service temperature range of -80°F (-62°C) to 320°F (160°C), with intermittent excursions up to 420°F (216°C).

PPG Aerospace® PR-1826 B-1/4 Rapid Cure Fuel Tank Sealant is designed for fillet sealing. The two-part, epoxy-cured Permapol® P-3 polythioether compound goes on smoothly and has low sag, so even vertical surfaces can be sealed with ease. Apply the sealant with an extrusion gun or spatula with excellent results. While PPG Aerospace® PR-1826 B-1/4 Rapid Cure Fuel Tank Sealant cures readily at room temperature, it can also cure at low temperatures and is resistant to changes in humidity. When using PPG Aerospace® PR-1826 B-1/4 Rapid Cure Fuel Tank Sealant, surfaces should be primed with PPG Aerospace® PR-1826AP Adhesion Promoter.
