Huntsman Epocast® 1628-A/B Boeing BMS Spec Epoxy Syntactic is a two-part epoxy system that is designed for edge reinforcing of honeycomb structures. The lightweight epoxy resin has a white color and is a soft paste. It is meant to be blended with yellow-colored Epocast® 1628 B hardener to become a pale yellow, ultra low-density epoxy syntactic. The color of the product indicates whether the product has been properly mixed or not. The lightweight epoxy paste can be spread with a putty knife or trowel to fill honeycomb core sections or edges of composite sandwich constructions. Once cured, Epocast® 1628 A/B epoxy syntactic can be easily sanded and machined.
