TIODIZE® Butt-Gap Red/Brown Sealant BMS 2082 Spec Fast Drying Aircraft Floor Panel Sealant - 200 mL Cartridge

The current process used on many aircraft is to fill these areas with hot melt wax, similar to packaging glue. The glue never hardens completely and it must be applied with a large, heavy, hot glue gun. This applicator is expensive, bulky, hard to maneuver in the aircraft and is hot - presenting a potential liability for injury to maintenance personnel handling the gun.

TIODIZE® Butt-Gap Sealant is applied with a simple caulking type gun. It is small, easy to use and applied at room temperature. The cost is a small fraction of the cost of the hot melt gun. Once applied, it dries within forty minutes, enabling maintenance personnel to get back to work on those areas hours faster than the hot melt product. TIODIZE® Butt-Gap Sealant also dries harder, enabling its usage in more areas without concern for catching debris. It is also usable on vertical panels.
