PPG Aerospace® P/S 872 B-1/2 Conductive Sealant from SkyGeek is a conductive lightning strike, corrosion-inhibitive sealant that is sold in a 2.5-ounce SemKit. The sealant has a service temperature range from -67°F (-55°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C), so you can apply it in virtually any environment with excellent results. Once cured, the sealant maintains electrical continuity, making it ideal for sealing your aircraft’s lighting safety system. The sealant also guards against corrosion, protecting aluminum surfaces from moisture and other causes of concern. Once cured, the sealant is resistant to intermittent exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas.

PPG Aerospace® P/S 872 B-1/2 Conductive Sealant is a two-part system, with components that must be mixed just before use. The 2.5-ounce SemKit successfully keeps the components separate until needed, ensuring the sealant is most active when applied. Uncured, the mixed sealant is low sag, with a thixotropic paste-like consistency that makes it easy to apply by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature and forms a resilient seal on most aircraft substrates.
