PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant from SkyGeek delivers convenient protection in an easy-to-apply thixotropic paste. The corrosion preventative compound has a service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C). with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C). When applied in an even layer, the slant acts as an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion, protecting aluminum surfaces from damage. PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 MIL-PRF-81733 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant cures at room temperature and once cured, the sealant maintains its elastomeric properties even after limited exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas.
PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 MIL-PRF-81733 Type 2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound that has to be mixed before use. Uncured, the material exhibits low sag and has a thixotropic nature that allows it to be applied via an extrusion gun or spatula. The 81733 sealant cures at room temperature and offers a resilient seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. The sealant is sold in a quart-size kit and volume discounts are available on qualifying bulk orders.
