PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant from SkyGeek is a two-part formula that blends readily to form a powerful sealant. Designed for use on the inside of the fuel tank, the sealant boasts a wide service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C) and can even withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 275°F (135°C) without failure. The sealant is designed for brush and fay sealing and is formulated to maintain its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to aviation gas and jet fuel.
PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part formula and is sold in an A/B kit. Each kit contains enough pre-measured material to make 1 pint of sealant. The manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide compound goes on smoothly and can be applied in thicknesses up to 25 mils. The gray aviation sealant cures readily at room temperature and adheres well to most common aircraft substrates.
