The aircraft fuel tank and general sealant has a service temperature range from -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F), offering the flexibility needed to work in virtually any conditions. Designed for fay surface sealing applications, the sealant offers as much as 20 percent weight savings per unit volume over traditional sealants used for similar purposes. On top of the lightweight finish, the sealant is also durable, maintaining excellent elastomeric properties after curing, even when exposed to jet fuel and aviation gas. The cured sealant can also withstand limited contact with diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids.
PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 C-2 Fuel Tank Sealant from SkyGeek is a two-part formula that is designed to be mixed before use. The sealant is a thick liquid when mixed, making it suitable for application by roller or spatula.
