PPG Aerospace® PR-1422 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant from SkyGeek is an integral fuel tank sealant with a service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C). The thixotropic paste material is designed for fillet sealing and other fuselage sealing applications, delivering a strong, long-lasting hold that's aviation gas and jet-fuel-resistant. The sealant is brown and is easy to see, allowing for visual inspections. PPG Aerospace® PR-1422 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant cures at room temperature and once cured, the sealant maintains its elastomeric properties for better protection during flight and the ability to resist vibrational damage.
PPG Aerospace® PR-1422 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part dichromate-cured-polysulfide compound. The sealant has a low sag and is suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. Once cured, the sealant prevents the fuel tank from leaking, keeping your aircraft ready for flight. PPG Aerospace® PR-1422 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is resistant to prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. The sealant cures at room temperature and offers excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
