Henkel LOCTITE® 609™ Retaining Compound from SkyGeek is a high-strength methacrylate ester acrylic retaining compound that's commonly used for bonding cylindrical fitting parts. Henkel LOCTITE® 609™ Retaining Compound has a distinctive green color and is packaged in liquid format, but quickly cures when in the absence of air between two close-fitting metal surfaces. Use Henkel LOCTITE® Green Retaining Compound to marry rotors to shafts or in fractional and sub-fractional horsepower motors. LOCTITE® retaining compound can also be used in locks, bushings and sleeves, or in housing on shafts.
Henkel 609™ LOCTITE® Retaining Compound boasts a low viscosity and can augment press fits. The unique formula prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration, making it the ideal choice for use onboard aircrafts. The retaining compound is thoroughly tested and meets the requirements of Military Specification MIL-R-46082B. Henkel LOCTITE® Press Fit Retaining Compound is sold in a 10 mL (0.34 oz.) bottle with a precision application tip for easy dispensing and placement.
