Top Pick Loctite® 222MS Mil Spec Low Strength Purple Threadlocker is ideal for fastener diameters of 1/4" (6mm) and smaller. Its controlled lubricity allows for accurate clamp loads. Parts can be separated using hand tools. Mil Spec: Mil-S-46163A Type II Grade M. NSF P1 Certified. Applications include adjustment screws, countersunk head screws, and set screws; on collargs, pulleys, tool holders and controllers. Also for low strength metals such as aluminum or brass.
LOCTITE® 222MS is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require easy disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Particularly suitable for applications such as adjustment of set screws, small diameter or long engagement length fasteners, where easy disassembly is required without shearing the screw.
