A quick cure and a solid seal are the hallmarks of PPG Aerospace® PR-2001 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant from SkyGeek. The Type 2, Class A fuel tank sealant offers a rapid cure, low odor and excellent resistance to aviation fuels. The integral fuel tank sealant is made for brush sealing fasteners in fuel tans and other sealing applications, with a service temperature range from -80ºF (-62ºC) to 320ºF (160ºC). The sealant can even withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures as high as 420ºF (216ºC).
PPG Aerospace® PR-2001 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part epoxy cured Permapol® P-3.1 polythioether compound. Uncured, the sealant is suitable to apply by brush in thicknesses up to 25 mils, offering easy and convenient application. The sealant cures at room temperature and maintains its elastomeric properties once cured, even after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas.
