The performance benefits of Shell Rotella T Triple Protection come from a unique combination of dispersants and detergents that are boosted by the use of a dual-function additive component. This results in enhanced engine cleanliness and viscosity control compared to previous generation oils (API CI-4 PLUS). Because this formula contains more dispersant molecules, as well as more antioxidant molecules than previous oils, sludge and deposits are controlled more effectively.

The emissions your vehicle puts out are controlled, also. This is done two ways:

1. By reducing the rate of lubricant-related DPF blockage compared to API CI-4 PLUS oils, and
