Military Standard MS24665-370 Stainless Steel Pin, Cotter - 100/Pack

Ever wondered what the MS refers to in many parts numbers? SkyGeek does and because we are geeks, it's in our nature to find out. It stands for Military Standard, which means the part has been both tested and certified by US Armed Forces and has met or exceeded such standards. Pretty cool, huh? If the military approves then so do we and so will you. MS24665's are cotter pins (or split pins to our UK brethren). These types of pins are metal fasteners with tines that open and close and bend during installation. MS24665-370's in particular are passivated corrosion resistant stainless steel cotter pins. They have a 1/8" nominal diameter and are one inch in length. These pins are often used as a stop pin, but it's important to note that individual applications may vary.
