The plug features three poles and a female end, making it compatible with most small aircraft and helicopters. The connector is made of strong polycarbonate in a vibrant red color, allowing for fast visual identification. The sleeves are silver plated and a solenoid pin is included.
The Aeronautical Standard AN2551 Aircraft Power Connector is corrosion-resistant and designed to last. The polycarbonate material is stronger than standard plastics and is resistant to higher temperatures, voltages and amperages. The aircraft ground power plug mates with an AN2552-3A external ground power unit.
