The epoxy primer features a high-solids formula that is chemically cured for better adhesion and strength. The strontium chromated primer provides excellent corrosion, chemical and solvent resistance, protecting the surface of your aircraft and extending the life of the epoxy topcoat. The primer is yellow for enhanced visibility, ensuring even coverage and better protection all around.
PPG Aerospace® Deft 02Y024 Epoxy Primer from SkyGeek is sold in a gallon-size kit. The two-component formula requires mixing before use for the best adhesion and strongest hold. The high-solids formula is corrosion-inhibiting and resistant to immersion in hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, phosphate-ester-based hydraulic fluids, Skydrol® hydraulic fluids and distilled water. The MIL-PRF-233773E Type I, Class C1 epoxy primer goes on smoothly and cures readily at room temperature. The primer can be applied by brush or spray application.
