Product Attributes
Your aircraft can't fly without fuel, which is why a leaky fuel tank can spell big trouble in the sky. Make sure your aircraft's fuel tank is secure and ready for flight by ordering a 6-ounce SemKit of PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 Fuel Tank Sealant from SkyGeek. The fuel tank sealant is designed for fillet sealing applications and cures readily at room temperature to form a strong bond. The sealant even maintains its elastomeric properties after exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. Like other fuel tank sealants, PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 Fuel Tank Sealant is designed to work across a wide range of temperatures, with a service temperature range from -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C). It can also withstand brief exposure to temperatures up to 275°F (135°C).
PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part formula that must be mixed just before application to ensure the best bond and resiliency. The manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound has low sag and is suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature and adheres readily to the most common substrates used in aircraft fuel tanks.
